Shame on everyone who missed Megacon this year. It was so super incredibly fun. I did a lot of sweet stuff and bought a lot of great swag, but before I go any further I must discuss the MOST important event of the weekend.

I met Adam Hughes. I did. Me. I happened to be at his booth before signing hours checking out prints and things when BAM! He scoots behind the table and tells me he loves my costume. I would have peed myself, but honestly I don't think there would have been room in my suit. I unlocked a new achievement for fangirling. I stumbled over a thank you and got the hell out of there to collect myself. Eventually, I had him sign two Catwoman covers, Before Watchmen: Dr. Manhattan, and a copy of his book Cover Run. I also got him to draw me up a head sketch of whatever he wanted, and he drew me CATWOMAN. I need no more proof. We share a connection. I also spent a great deal of time chatting up his lovely wife, Allison Sohn, from whom I got a beautiful Game of Thrones print. She was so super nice, and was wearing a tiara. That's how you know she's cool.

I also should take note that I've decided who is the nicest guest ever: Amanda Conner. She is just a ray of freaking sunshine. Every single year I meet her she takes the time to talk to me about whatever. Lucky for me I had new things for her to sign, namely her Before Watchmen: Silk Spectre. But seriously, if you ever have the chance, go say hello to her, she's incredible.

Other events of note include:
-a really fantastic rave. I don't know, there's just something about a big, sweaty, writhing mass of people that gets me going.
-completing like, 8 puzzles on my 3DS.
- Getting to see my friend win a nationwide contest for comic book writing. Winning not only $5,000 and a JOB, but also a GIANT CHECK. Have I ever mentioned that I've always wanted a giant check? That's when you know you've made it. So go stop by his page and congatulate him before he makes it big, then you can say you knew someone before they were famous!
